04Jun

Naples is a city that can offer a lot of wonderful places where you can spend a relaxing day at the seaside.

Here are our tips on where to go this summer.

Gaiola Beach
The Gaiola beach The “Gaiola” beach is one of the most beautiful and famous in Naples. If you want to enjoy this beach, you’d better get there early in the morning. It is a protected area with a wonderful submerged park to visit. The Gaiola beach is situated in Posillipo. From our hotel take bus 601 to Piazza Garibaldi, here take metro n. 2 and get off at the Mergellina station. Going towards the seafront you will find Sannazzaro square and after few meters Leone square. Here you can take the bus 140 that will bring you in Capo Posillipo. Here you have to going down the little street on the left, just before the bridge, this little street is called Gaiola Descent. That little street will bring you directly to the Gaiola Park.

Marechiaro Big Rock
Clear water and a stunning view. This is Marechiaro, and Posillipo is within walking distance. Marechiaro is very quiet and far from the chaos of the historic centre. It is the ideal place where to relax. You can get to the Big Rock by a little boat. Don’t miss this experience. From our hotel take bus 601 to Piazza Garibaldi, here take metro n. 2 and get off at the Mergellina station. Going towards the seafront you will find Sannazzaro square and after few meters Leone square. Here you can take the bus 140 and get off at the Posillipo-Rione Primavera stop. In order to arrive on the cliff there will be a boat of fishermen of the area that will bring you there for only 5 €.

“Bagno Elena” in Posillipo
This is the historic seaside resort in Naples. It is elegant and luxurious. Bagno Elena extends on the volcanic beach in the bay bordered on one side by the seventeenth-century Palazzo Donn’Anna and on the other by the historic Palazzo Guercia, an ancient watchtower. From our hotel take bus 601 to Piazza Garibaldi, here take metro n. 2 and get off at the Mergellina station. Riva Fiorita (or Giuseppone a Mare)
The beauty of Posillipo is here: sea, sun and nature. Riva Fiorita is a charming little harbour with a very small but splendid beach with free access. The place is dominated by lush vegetation, and is nestled among the villas and historic buildings in the area.To reach Riva Fiorita you have to go downhill Via Ferdinando Russo

Take a boat to Procida

What is it? Of the Bay of Naples’ three islands, it’s Capri that is most beautiful, but that also means it’s constantly smothered in tourists. Ischia offers thermal spas, but it is Procida’s charming colourful houses and cobbled streets that make it the off-the-radar offshore choice.

Baia Castle Beach
The Castle of Baia is a beautiful archeological tourist attraction, rich in architecture and a beautiful overview .Here there is everything you need for a day at the seaside: sun chairs, sun umbrellas, bars, food and restaurants. How to reach the beach by car: Follow the Tangenziale and exit at “Arco Felice”. In direction fo the exit Baia-Bacoli. From Baia town center head in the direction of Bacoli, you will be on Via Lucullo. Just 100 meters past a big shipyard,  you must turn for a small street (alley) on the left.  Turn down into the tiny walled street and follow it out to the parking of car next to the seaside. There you will find the cove and the boat ready to take you out to the beach.
